I always dream to visit Holland especially Amsterdam. However, my dream was reality last week where I came with my lovely girl from UK to Amsterdam. Once we arrived at the hotel, we were impressed of the great location. The staff in reception was very helpful, smiley, and polite. With regards to the disadvantages, I noticed that there is only a single mirror inside the room where it is placed inside the bathroom. I reckon that one mirror is not enough, but putting a mirror inside the room (on the wall or rather than Tv's place) would be better for girls (for putting makeup or for their hair). Furthermore, the bed was very comfortable except that it is In terms of advantages, housekeeping, room service, and reception deserve a huge thank you. The balcony is spacious enough to make a small party, to take photos, and to smoke. I also like the bottle of merlot red wine that placed in the fridge.

I stay in Amsterdam about times per year and the Barbizon Palace is my preferred 5 star hotel. The hotel is a bit more low-key than some of the other more exuberant hotels but I greatly prefer this level of efficiency over just display luxury. The rooms are big for Amsterdam and European capital standards, which means that if there is two in the room you do not continuously bump into each other as is normal in Paris, London or other hotels in Amsterdam. The location of the hotel is ideal; very close to the central station, not more than a 5 minute walk with suitcases, from where it is a 15 minute ride to the airport. It is close to all the entertainment of Amsterdam but it is also an excellent starting point to reach any of the businesses in and around Amsterdam. I never was bothered by it but some rooms can be a bit noisy, especially during the day. But apart from that I cannot think about anything that is wrong with this hotel. Definitely worth 5 starts.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Hotel allowed us to store our luggages until the check-in time which was very helpful and convenient so that we don't waste any of our vacation time. We had to carry our luggages about 6 to 7 stair steps up to their lobby which is not bad (since I have my hubby with me :)) but probably for others this might be a bit of a challenge especially if you have heavy luggage or multiple luggages. However, I can assure you hotel staff can assist if needed. This hotel is also a walking distance from Amsterdam Centraalabout 15 to 20 mins walk, not bad at all since we were not in a hurry.

From the minute you enter the hotel, you are met with luxury coupled with efficiency. The hotel staff were extremely welcoming, and it provided a peaceful haven after walking around Amsterdam! We booked the cheapest room, but in no way was this basic. It was very well appointed, tastefully decorated, and the bathroom was huge! The coffee machine in reception provided extremely good coffee, wouldn't have guessed it was from a machine, and there were also chocolates, sweets and cookies available. All in all, this hotel provided a wonderful base for exploring Amsterdam. It was easy to find, right on the Singel canal, and I would definately stay there again. I cannot recommend it too much! I did not try the breakfast, so therefore cannot comment, but it did look good

Greeted by the nice staff at the front desk who will try and help with any questions and directions with a smile. The hotels features with free Wifi in all rooms, minibar and a great selection of bathroom accessories makes the stay pleasant and comfortable. The location of the hotel in the centre of Amsterdam allows most attractions to be in walking distance along the canals. I can only recommend this hotel. We will definitely stay there again.

i had a wonderful time at the park plaza victoria amsterdam hotel. although it took some time for my room to be ready, the wait was worth the while as i was treated to a lovely view. the location is unbeatable, being a mere short stroll from amsterdam centraal. the room is nice size, clean and comfortable although i would have liked to have windows that could open fully. the wire mesh also disrupted my view a tad. having said that, the service is impeccable and i would recommend this hotel to others in a heartbeat.

Our stay in Amsterdam was short but necessary! Luxer was a great choice for the price and location. Upon arriving we went through the same routine as any other hotel, it was really clean for its location considering that it was Amsterdam. The room was very clean and well presented for what it is, on hand shower gel etc. The staff provided us with an adapter for our English charger as we didn’t have one at the time which was really nice. Breakfast for €9 pre booked and € for no booked, we missed our pre booked day and asked if we could move it to the next day which they was more than willing to do. We was victim to the Gatwick Drone incident and the person at the desk was very comforting and reassuring and gave us a room with 15% discount which we was very grateful for. They also gave us a little goody bag after we checked out which was also nice! The only thing I could say which would be better is for check out to be 12 as walking in Amsterdam gets tiring!

The hotel was great location. Near everything. It was clean and spacious in the room. Hair dryers and shower gels, tea & coffee, towels provided. Amsterdam hotels can be a nightmare. This is very nice and affordable. You get your own bathroom (trust me some hotels you don't in amsterdam, which is no no for me) and it was perfect. TV, walk in shower and a comfy bed. Would stay in again. Housekeeping each day and pleasant staff. Plus a lift, which if you have been to Amsterdam you know they have a lot of stairs - everywhere. So the last thing you want is to come back to your hotel and have to climb stairs. Very impressed. They do breakfast too - I didn't have that but it smelt lovely.

The TImes Hotel is in a great position for a stay in Amsterdam. It is very central to all the highlights of Amsterdam, but far enough away from the crowds to enjoy some quietness. Although I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, it looked more than adequate. The room was a good size, and the bed was very comfortable. There are many lovely restaurants nearby, and lots of interesting walks by nearby canals. It is a short 10 to 15 minute walk to Centraal Station, and 10 minutes to Dam Square. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. As I was travelling alone (I am a middle aged woman) I wanted to feel safe where I stayed, and The Times Hotel certainly provided that. I would not hesitate to recommend The Times Hotel, and will definitely stay there again.

Last minute booking when I landed in Amsterdam. Arrived early but knew room wouldn't be ready but staff member was very accommodating in allowing me to leave luggage while I walked around town until check-in time. Room was located on the bottom floor so can't really complain. You may have issues if you need to go up the stairs. Room itself was really nice. Room wasn't big but considering it was cold when I arrived in Amsterdam it was nice and cosy. Room had a nice feature wall which suited the style of the hotel and the area it's located in. Bathroom and toilet was decent size nothing spectacular but does its job. It does have a safe in the room if people need to use it. Overall pleasantly surprised with the Hotel. Location is Great (about min walk from Amsterdam Central) and your pretty much away from the noisy areas of town while your next to the canal. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the room was nice and cosy. Would definitely consider it if I'm back in Amsterdam.

Okay this hotel is not 5 star but it has a fabulous location, the staff are amazing - they couldn't do enough to help. The breakfast was fine, your normal type of buffet breakfast and of a good quality. The rooms are very small but fully functional, bathrooms very small but again they had all the facilities you need. We stayed here for 3 nights and mainly only slept, showered and changed to the small room did not bother us. Literally a five minute walk from Amsterdam Centrall Station.

The receptionist personnel all that I came into contact with on my visit may 6, through May 8, excellent even to the gentleman who helped me take my luggage to the tram because I was too close to Amsterdam central. I was unable to use the wellness center 😥😂 But next time. I have already recommended your hotel and Amsterdam to friends. To be honest I was in Paris prior to my arrival if had known, I would have spent more time at your hotel and Amsterdam. I felt comfortable and safe. As solo thisisnl.nl you lorna gunness

I stayed at Hotel, The Exchange for 16 nights and loved every one of them!!! The rooms are so nice, the staff is so friendly, and they keep the rooms and hotel extremely clean. I can not say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay. The rooms and building are quaint and so unique. The restaurant downstairs, Stock, is outstanding! The best paninis I had in Amsterdam. Their location on Damrak is ideal for those on foot. I walked to every major attraction in Amsterdam within minutes! My mind is made up. I will stay at Hotel, The Exchange every time I am in Amsterdam forever!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ambassade in February Not only is the location very central - right on the Herengracht canal - but the hotel itself is lovely and well-appointed. The hotel is actually two old houses joined together, and has a history of being where famous authors stay when they come to Amsterdam. So, the hotel's little library is filled with autographed copies of books by authors from all over the world. The rooms are nice but for my taste the furnishings are a little too much brocade and dark velvet for me. However, the bed was quite comfortable and I did enjoy the Bulgari soaps & shampoos. I know Amsterdam is an expensive city, but I've stayed in comparable luxury hotels and I'm not sure that the price-point for the Ambassade is worth it for what you get. However, if you want a nice and quietly luxurious hotel in the center of town and have the money to spend, this is a great option.

location-wise, the hotel is next to the central train station. so, it's a breeze getting to the hotel by train from the airport. as the train station is also where all the buses and trams stop, you basically have easy access to everywhere in amsterdam. if you choose to walk, the main attractions like anne frank house, dam square, red light district are all manageable. room-wise, the space is small but the facilities are ample. design is modern and feels like a chic studio apartment. the buffet breakfast is superb considering how continental spreads can be at most hotels. i was pleasantly surprised to find cod fish nuggets! where i come from, cod fish is a luxury item and will never appear on a buffet table! best of all, there's free wifi. believe me, this is not something you get to enjoy in most amsterdam hotels!

first some of room has no window to look out (only to lobby which less privacy for guests) second if you are trousit for holiday to stay in Amsterdam, there are much more better hotels in same price range i might stay next time if not room from Grand hotel Amrath. high sling, better room, and location more closer to trousit places. but if you go for biz trip, Hyatt is good by it quite environments

The hotel is beautiful and European cool. The decoration is well thought after and fantastic, and will find detail after detail to delight you. Compared with North America the rooms are smaller and the cosy setting with small corridors and steps would be unusual for North American hotels. The only thing that I missed in the room was electronic outlets to be able use the hairdryer and kettle but with little bit organizing it worked. The food at breakfast was fantastic; it was done with easiness and they were able to cater for my daughter's celiac disease and my sister's food alergies without compromising the taste nor the presentation. We had one dinner as well and it was absolutely lovely. I would stay in this hotel again and I would recommend this hotel to even to my most demanding friends. Pros: This hotel is directly opposite the Amsterdam Central Station, across the river. It can easily be missed because of its small signboard. The ground floor is very noisy at night as it turns the cafe into bar, but in the room, even at first floor, is extremely quiet and sound proof. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the meals are great. The design and overall experience of the hotel is fantastic, and the location is just very strategic! The bed is super comfortable, one of the best I have ever tried sleeping on. Cons: The toilet in the room is a weird one, though very artistic. The shower water pressure isn't great, and there is no shower cubicle barrier therefore the water will splash everywhere after a bath. You need to be careful with your credit card charges, as even I have paid fully through Agoda, the hotel still charged me daily (luckily I received SMS from my credit card company), apparently the hotel staff said Agoda has not paid them, therefore the hotel will charge me automatically! But the staff are so helpful to revert back your charges, just that you need to check and be alert! The worst of all in this hotel, is actually the make up of room. Everyday even after 3pm (left room at 9am), the room is still not tidied up, and need reminders at the counter (even if you have put a "please make up room" sign at the door handle). And even after making up room, there is no drinking water replenishment, and those cups that you have used over night, are not cleaned up at all!! But overall, I am still very glad I have chose this hotel, and would definitely come back to stay in this hotel again when I visit Amsterdam.
